Personality: Marcus is a serious fellow most of the time. Calm, reliable, and level-headed, he's a strict commander and expects those under his command to follow his orders immediately and without question. He's not heartless though and won't push anyone over their absolute limit. He tends to be hard on himself and doesn't have a very good opinion of himself. He makes an effort to keep people at arm's length and not let anyone get too close. He's very proud and doesn't like asking others for help, but doesn't mind lending someone a hand if they really need it. He doesn't believe in sugarcoating things, so when you ask for his opinion you will get an honest answer.

Background:

The eldest and only son of the previous General of Arkerrius, people had high expectations of him. His father was a great General and many hoped that Marcus would be as well. However, Marcus was not as outgoing and friendly as his father was, he was much more shy and quiet. Hoping to break him of this, his father sent him to train as a knight as soon as Marcus was old enough.

Although his personality didn't change, Marcus proved to be a promising knight. He was intelligent and strong. For years he trained diligently, making his father proud, though still a bit flustered at his son's introverted personality.

When the fall of Thravis happened, Marcus followed his father to war. During one of the battles, his father was gravely injured. It was then that Marcus showed he was indeed his father's son. Without hesitation, he took up his father's place and continued leading the troops on. Eventually they won the battle, though his father did not survive his injuries. In honor of his father, he continued to strive to be best he could be. Eventually working his way up, he is now General of Arkerrius, just as his father was before him and serves the king with complete loyalty.



Other:

-Marcus never thinks he'll be the kind of man his father was, and so he has a lower opinion of himself.

-Gets tongue tied easily around women, so he rarely speaks if there happens to be lady nearby.

-Doesn't trust or like the King's adviser, and makes no attempt to hide it either.

-Spends his free time taking long flights or brushing Ignius' coat.

Ignius the Arcanine serves as his steed if he travels far on land.

-His sword is a family heirloom and was forged completely from Skarmory feathers.
