Description

I finally stopped procrastinating and finished this. :'D

:iconthekingdomofkvaarn:

Gender: Female

City: Erebos City

Class: Lord

Sub-Class: Wouldn't you like to know. >: D

Pokemon: Darkrai

Type: Dark

Level: 100

Rank: S

Ability: Bad Dreams- Causes horrific nightmares to an who fall asleep within close range of her. Through years of practice she can suppress this ability or expand the radius of it, depending on her moods.

Moves: Dark Void- Pulls her foes spirits' through portals of darkness into a dimension that she controls. Their bodies remain asleep until she releases their spirits again or the spell wears off.

Dream Eater- Feeds off the dreams off the dreams of others to increase her own energy levels and power.

Dark Pulse- Focuses her mind and emits a powerful blast of dark energy

Ominous Wind- Summons a foul, dark wind to buffet her opponents, may also boost her own powers occasionally.

Accessory: Her necklace, small knives she keeps hidden up her sleeves

Markings: Has several scars on her right arm and shoulder, but keeps them covered all the time.

Personality: Raine's personality summed up in one word, enigmatic. It's difficult to describe her personality as she is rarely seen by anyone other than a select few. As far as the world is concerned, she is dark, reclusive and mysterious, and she wants to keep it that way. Her behavior is unpredictable at best, no one knows what she will do next. It is impossible to tell if she is truly loyal to the king or not, though there is no evidence to show if she is disloyal. She never shows any outward signs of emotions and the best way to tell what mood she is in is by the townspeople themselves. If the city appears happy and runs as normal, it's safe to say she's in a relatively passive or neutral mood. If she is in a bad mood the city is often quiet, somber and gloomy looking. Because is her worse moods, she plagues the entire city with horrible nightmares. Fortunately for her people, her bad moods aren't too frequent.

Talents: -Can see in complete pitch black darkness.
-Can cripple her foes by sleep deprivation by causing them nightmares anytime they drift to sleep.
-Has perfected the art of "Dream Walking", which basically allows her to travel through, as well as manipulate, the dreams of others. She often uses this for communicating with people she'd rather not be seen with. (Similar to the Darkrai in the Mystery Dungeon Games ;3)
-Can cause horrendous nightmares at will.
-An expert at mind tricks and discovering secrets. Few things are kept secret from her for long.

Weaknesses: -Virtually blind in bright sunlight.
-Physically she isn't very strong and her fighting and defensive skills are pitiful. Which is why she won't let people close to her.
-Has a hard time understanding and dealing with people at times.
-Her son
-Her erratic behavior keeps her separated and distant to the other Lords.
-Lunar Wings, they block out much of her power

Background: Raine grew up in a very well off family. She was an only child, but being a Darkrai she often had a hard time making friends with other people as they were often scared of her. However she was a natural loner and didn't mind the solitude. She always seemed a bit odd and wasn't ever very close to anybody, not even her own parents. She spent a lot of her time alone honing and refining her powers over the dreams of others. For most of her life she was happy, but eventually her life took a turn for the worse.

When she was eighteen she accompanied her parents to a party at the royal city where she met the Lord of Erebos, a Hydriegon twice her own age. She disliked him from the moment she saw him, but he "claimed" he was in love with her and was determined to have her for himself. Despite Raine's protests, the Lord offered her parents land and wealth if he could have her and in the end he won and she had no choice but to marry him. If he had truly loved her, she might have eventually accepted it and been happy, but it was soon obvious to her that she was nothing more than a pretty trophy to him and he felt no real love for her. The Lord of Erebos loved nothing more than to show off his beautiful, young wife to all his friends and acquaintances. When they were alone, he was nothing more than a hard, cruel brute that drank too much. Raine was miserable, she hated him and what her life had become. She tried to make his life miserable in return, but he always kept a Lunar Wing with him at all times and he was too strong for her to physically hurt him.

And the bad just seemed to get worse. When she was twenty, news reached them of some kind of plot involving the Lord of Thravis. Her husband was a staunch supporter of the King and sent off many of his own troops to help fight off this "usurper and his traitorous foreign wife". The Lord stayed behind, but his temper and cruelty just got worse and worse and he drank more and more as the years went on, he often forced Raine to use her powers for the King's benefit. Just when she reached the point when she thought she could no longer take it anymore and was on the brink of destroying herself, her husband decided to go and teach the "traitors" a lesson himself.....he never came back again. He was killed during a skirmish with the Insurgents

Raine felt as if a huge weight had finally been lifted off of her. Now she was free of her oppressive drunkard of a husband, and more. Now she was the ruler of Erebos, she was the one in charge and making the decisions and she loved it. A whole city that was her's to control and no one could stand in her way. Only one thing marred her enjoyment of her new life. She soon learned she was carrying her late husband's child. As much as she hated the fact, she couldn't really do much about the matter and her logical side could see a couple of silver linings from this unexpected little cloud; she would at least have a legitimate heir without having to worry about marrying again and she would never have to worry about her husband having an influence over the child.

It was a stormy night when her son finally came into the world, she called him Evyndr, Evyn for short and something happened she never expected to ever happen in her life....she actually loved the child. She had hated his father, but she couldn't bring herself to feel any animosity towards his son. Because after all, he was her son too and her gentle behavior towards him was a complete opposite of how it was to any other person in the world.

Now she rules over her city however she sees fit, seemingly ambiguous to the dispute between the King and the Insurgents. For the moment she seems content to wait and watch before making up her mind completely about whether she wants to support the aging King or not, but for the moment she still seems loyal.....or does it only appear that way?

Other: -Raine doesn't actually care who is King or Ruler, as long as it doesn't affect her leadership or city she couldn't care less who was on the throne.

-She has banned Lunar Wings from Erebos City, anyone caught with one in their possession will be punished. And she will find out about it so don't even try to hide one.

-Evyndr is really the only other person she cares about in her life and is the only one to experience her gentle, caring side.

-Evyndr is a six month old baby Deino, but she doesn't mind that he's a Deino. He'll never know his father and that's all she cares about.

-Don't ever, EVER try to hurt her baby or take him away from her, or else you will die a horrible, slow, painfully agonizing death. She'll make sure of that. She's a very protective momma. :3

-She doesn't hate the Insurgents, after all the got rid of her husband for her.

-She has no intention to marry again.

-She rarely leaves the castle, unless it's on urgent or official business.

-Most of her people have no clue what she actually looks like since she rarely ever comes out.

-Uses her abilities to keep the crime rates down. After all what thief or murderer would want to be tormented every single time they doze off.

-Loves music and is a surprisingly good musician.

-Keeps small knives up her sleeves just in case someone comes too close to her.

-The scars on her shoulder and arms came from when her late husband threw a bottle at her, it missed her but shattered and several of the pieces hit her.

Personal Quote: "Let's see how long you can fight off your nightmares."
