Finally filled in all of Sane's info~

Name: Sane

Age:  ???? (extremely old, he's forgotten his exact age though)

Gender:  Male

Species: ???? Sane is a sentient life form that has no exact species, he can morph into any quadrupedal species. Such as a wolf, lion, dog, dragon, etc. He is most often seen in the form of a regular domestic cat though. His colors and markings remain the same no matter what animal he chooses to appear as.

Personality: Sane is rather neutral and doesn't care about what is good or bad. He just does whatever he wants, not caring much about what might happen to others. So don't rely on him to do the right thing, because if he doesn't benefit from it chances are he won't do anything. Even if he does decide to help out it's usually only in the form of difficult riddles or obscure remarks, his old age and memory of the past make him very cunning and knowledgeable even if he doesn't share these gifts with anyone. Sane only actually cares about two individuals, Sirri and Nightshade. He's sees Sirri as his personal property so she's under his protection. Nightshade is his lady, so of course he'll be there for her no matter what.

History: For hundreds of uncounted years Sane was a being with no name and no definite physical form, connected to the planet by a magical orb hidden in a sacred, hidden cave. He roamed the planet as a spirit being. He was drawn to anyplace war and destruction were rampant, for they fascinated him and so he became known to people as Discord, Herald of Destruction. The title pleased him and even though he was not an evil entity, he became a feared being. For wherever his shadow fell, chaos and destruction were not far off.

As science and technology improved, man became more curious than frightened of the beings such as himself. Eventually his hidden cave was discovered and his orb removed from it's resting place. He was forced to retreat into it to protect himself from losing it and his tie to the world. Eventually the scientists broke his Life Orb and for what seemed like an eternity his consciousness faded into a black, dormant state.

Then one day he woke from his dormant state....but....something was wrong. He was in the form of a cat and no matter what he tried he couldn't use his full powers or take on his normal spirit form. On top of that, he soon discovered his tie to the planet was no longer his Life Orb, but it had somehow ended up taking residence in a human child. He at first thought about just killing the human girl in hopes it would restore him to his former power, but after a little thinking he realized the body he was now in wasn't actually alive on its own and that he needed a living host to keep him tied to the planet since his Life Orb was broken. So after a lot of thought and not really wanting to experience 'dying' again, he decided to let her be. Thinking she might be useful to him someday, he set up a sort of guardianship over his new source of life. Making sure she didn't die was about all he ever did though, as long as her heart kept beating and she kept breathing it didn't matter to him how bad she got hurt or what happened to her.

As the girl grew older, he realized that she now had many of the same gifts he had. Such as his long life, also she was much stronger than a normal human, her senses were sharper, she could detect the emotions of the living beings around her, and she could even communicate with the spirits of those whose bodies had died, though not very well. It now appeared that while he was still a cognitive, reasoning being, his primitive, destructive side now was part of her. Giving her access to the 'Discord' form he had been named after. Though she seemed to keep it under control most of the time, something that actually impressed him.

Eventually curiosity got the better of the creepy cat and he chose to introduce himself her. After all, she was almost literally half of him, so to him that made her his property now. While he didn't tell her that she was his tie to the planet and that she was the way she was because of him (because things like that tend to freak people out), he did let her know he could speak and that he was going to be hanging around a while. Around all other people though, he tries to appear like a normal, if rather unusual and creepy, cat. Deciding to call himself Sane from then on, since he was the sane half of his original form.

If Sirri dies so will he. This time it will be a real death though, so he will not let anything happen to her.

He actually does care for Sirri somewhat and they do have somewhat similar personality traits, but he hates his dependency on her for survival.

Since Sirri is actually the living part of him now, his current body cannot die. He can still suffer injuries and be incapacitated from them, but as long as Sirri is alive his body will regenerate and heal itself from any injury after a while.

Doesn't like scientists of any kind, he hates them for destroying his Life Orb and robbing him of his freedom and much of his power.

He's actually gotten used to the way he is now and doesn't mind the whole situation as much as he used to. He's even found a few plus sides to his new form. Such as eating, cat napping, and finding a girlfriend. ;3

He hasn't told either Sirri or Nightshade about his past or what he used to be. It's rather complicated and he doesn't feel it's necessary for them to know about it.
